A record 46 children from Menheniot Primary School (almost a third of the school) entered the Tavy 13 Primary School’s Challenge Race last Sunday. All the children had run 12 miles at school in the eight weeks preceding the race. They then completed their 13th mile at the race, some accompanied by their parents.

PE co-ordinator Mr Collacott was delighted with their achievement. He said: ‘Having a track in the school grounds and the daily mile has really made a difference to the children’s fitness.’
