Menheniot’s fireworks display is set to return this year on Saturday November 13 and is sure to dazzle everyone who attends and raise much appreciated funds for Menheniot Primary School.

The display will take place at 7pm on Menheniot Cricket Field with refreshments available from 5:45pm including a licensed bar, hot food and drinks. Those attending can soak up the atmosphere before watching the stunning professional display by Celebration Pyrotechnics.

In previous years, the popular village display has attracted more than 750 people from all over the area. After a year and a half of coronavirus restrictions, which resulted in the display not going ahead last year, organisers are looking forward to welcoming everyone back again this year.

The event is being organised by Menheniot School Association, a small group of parents who have had the difficult task of coming up with innovative ideas to raise money for the school since the pandemic began.

"It is so exciting to be planning our first big event in such a long time to raise money for Menheniot Primary School." says the committee. "This event would not be happening without the generous support of many local businesses who have offered sponsorship and we are so grateful."

A fantastic array of local businesses have generously sponsored the event: Bateman & Lynch Cars, Castle Air Ltd, St Mary’s Leadworks, Bateman Financial Management Limited, Peake (GB) Limited, Whitehair Engineering, Spar Shop Menheniot, GW Walters & Son, CAMP Theatre Company, Westcountry Fabrication, Lime Tree Financial Planning, The Salon, EG Fencing Solutions Ltd, C.Dawe Build Co. Ltd, The White Hart Hotel, Cornish Tea, NFU Mutual Insurance, Treyone Kitchenmakers, WH Bond & Sons Ltd and Adrenalin Quarry Ltd.

Tickets will be available to buy in advance from Menheniot Spar and on the night at the gate. They are priced at £4 for adults and £2 for children over the age of 3.
