AN up and coming Westcountry singer/guitarist, who is involved in an ‘Anti Bullying’ school tour, was welcomed to Liskeard School and Community College. Rich Cottell, who is based in Devon, spoke at a special assembly for Years 7 and 8 as part of the school’s ongoing initiative to educate students on the importance of E-safety. As well as a speech surrounding his own experiences with the potential dangers of online media, Rich also introduced students to The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP), which provides advice and support for internet safety. He explained the importance of putting into place their privacy settings correctly to avoid security issues. Rich ended his visit by giving his young audience an inspirational acoustic performance.
