A Gold Award for sports has been awarded to a school in South East Cornwall.

Millbrook School received the Gold School Games Mark Award, a Government-led scheme, for their sporting achievements during this current school year.

With a total of 42 children competing in local inter-school competitions this year, they have won an area athletics competition in Liskeard and a girls’ crosscountry event, came fourth in the Cornish touch rugby competition and completed the Junior Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor.
