FREE live lessons from the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth will start today and run each Friday for the next seven weeks.
Each week there’ll be two sessions. A Deep Science class from 1pm – 1.20pm will see the Schools Team use the aquarium’s exhibits and the Aqualab in Plymouth to explore the science behind the animated ocean exploration tv series ‘The Deep’ (CBBC @12pm on weekdays during lockdown). “Expect fascinating facts and real time experiments, as well as ideas to follow up with at home!” says a spokesperson.
Meanwhile from 1.30 – 1.45pm short stories will be narrated by the Aquarium’s resident mermaid Marina – these Mermaid Tales are perfect before an afternoon nap, or as a gentle, relaxing start to the afternoon, says the Aquarium team.
