A young woman who has encouraged others to take up traditionally ‘male’ apprenticeships has received a double honour at City College Plymouth.
Clarrissa Barkess, who is from Kelly Bray, acts as a mentor to fellow apprentices working in the engineering sector.
For her work as an ‘apprenticeships ambassador’, she received the Student of the Term Award – and she has also picked up the Principal’s Award for her achievements from principal and chief executive Phil Davies.
