Pupils from a school in South East Cornwall have staged a six-hour bikeathon.
Sixteen students from saltash.net community school took part in the fundraising effort in Plymouth city centre.
They were raising money towards their expedition to Morocco next year when they will be supporting community projects in schools.
The two-week World Challenge educational expedition will see the youngsters trekking through the Atlas Mountains to reach the schools they will be helping.
Working alongside local people, they will be involved in building classrooms to replace open air schooling and constructing toilets next to schools so that girls can attend as well as boys.
The bikeathon saw the pupils cycling for the amount of time it takes to fly to Morocco and back. The pupils have already undertaken several other fundraising ventures including bake sales and a quiz night.
