Ninety junior school children from South East Cornwall spent the day discovering the Looe Valley Line and its heritage.

The youngsters travelled the line for free, courtesy of Great Western Railway; tried their hand at cartoon drawing with Beano artist Nick Brennan; found out about the history of the Looe Valley Line in an exhibition at Liskeard station and explored their local libraries.

The trips were all part of Loop the Loop: Branching Out, a project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Cornwall Libraries which seeks to offer creative ways to explore heritage through music, art and film.
