More than 5,000 visitors are expected to descend on Duchy College, Stoke Climsland for its annual Open Day and Summer Food Festival.
Held on Sunday, June 24, from 10am until 4pm, the event offers activities including archery, a climbing tower and tractor and trailer rides to the farm.
People will also be able to meet the animals, watch equine displays, take part in a digger driving challenge, check out the rifle shooting range, play in the children’s creative zone, have their health and fitness tested or enter a dog show.
Lots of local food producers will be selling their products at the Duchy College Home Farm near Stoke Climsland.
Head of Campus said last year more than 4,000 people visited: ‘It was lovely to see so many families taking the opportunity to explore what Duchy College has to offer and enjoying a picnic in the sunshine and this year we are hoping for more of the same.
‘The food festival this year is along the lines of a street festival and there will be lots of interesting stalls to explore both inside and outside before deciding what to stock the kitchen up with.
‘Those interested in finding out about the courses on offer at Duchy College will be able to talk to lecturers, tour the specialist facilities and get the advice they need to kick start their future career.
‘The college offers both full and part-time courses, apprenticeships and university courses, in agriculture, animal management, child care, construction plant, equine studies, food, gamekeeping, outdoor pursuits, public services, sport and foundation learning.’
