The Eden Project has decided to close its site to visitors

A statement said: ’At Eden our paramount concern has always been the safety, health and wellbeing of our staff and guests – the coronavirus pandemic means this has never been more important.

’While we had hoped to be able to continue access to our gardens and outdoor spaces, the latest Government advice means that this has become increasingly difficult to achieve. We are sure that you will understand why we have to close in these unprecedented times. We look forward to welcoming visitors again when we can safely re-open.

’We recently announced a Community Action Response to encourage everyone to do what they can to support their communities, in particular vulnerable and isolated people during the pandemic. This was launched by Eden Project Communities with partners The National Lottery Community Fund, Nextdoor, Neighbourhood Watch, Campaign to End Loneliness and Eco Attractions Group.’
