St Austell Coastguard were called out to Golant near Fowey at 04:30 this morning after reports of people clinging to a buoy who were struggling in a small boat unable to make their way in. Working alongside Fowey RNLI the persons were brought ashore.

The police were involved due to the possibility of the vessel being stolen and illegal fishing.
