Callington's youngest ever side in senior football took to the field with only captain Chris Thorpe the only player who hadn't graduated from Callington Colts.

They played in a determined fashion against a high wind and heavy bursts of rain that helped in producing Delabole's goal in the first half.

With the wind at their backs in the second period, it was nearly all Callington. Make-shift striker Andy Moy scored twice from close range after being set up by Keiron Ruck, who scored the third after keeping his head and cooly slotting the ball wide of the advancing 'keeper. Ruck, along with Matt Reid, enjoyed a midfield position and caught the eye along with a fine performance from Paul Harrison, also playing out of his normal full-back position.

Callington's all-round future looks good with lots of young talent coming through.
