Drivers could have to pay 50p for first hour's parking

First-hour parking charges in South East Cornwall will rise to 50p if draft proposals for new charges are agreed.

County councillors for the area have hit out at the fees saying they would have a 'detrimental effect'.

The recommendations are to 'develop a fair and consistent policy on parking charges' according to Cornwall Council.
