PEOPLE of Looe awake! Have we so much money to waste? Returning home to Looe periodically is always a welcome moment – but what has happened to our lovely community this time? 1. New mooring staghorns on the quay – large enough to moor most commercial ocean-going vessels, let alone 40- tonne inshore fishing trawlers! Perhaps the commissioners are awaiting a cruise liner. Dredge that river first! 2. A new traffic light/tag system on the quay, specially designed to trip all but the most careful pedestrian! 3 A sculpture seal – free of charge! Well, the very talented lady didn't charge – but all other parties must have! Otherwise, why the price? Wake up Looe! Do we really need these new facilities? How about some good seats/benches for our elderly and the many visitors to enjoy our wonderful views?
