The singles, doubles and trebles were held last Friday with varying degrees of success. The Trebles had the best turn-out with only league champions the Noughts and Crosses not fielding a team. Specialists Rowett A got to the final defeating the Legion, Ship A and Millhouse on the way. Their opponents in the final will be Pelynt B who beat the Blue Peter and Rowett B to get there.

Only seven of 12 teams turned up for the doubles where the Rowett A reached the final beating Pelynt B in the semi's. Their opponents on finals night will be the Noughts who knocked out the champs for the last two years Rowett B.

In the singles eight teams were present and last years winner Andy Grant reached the final after defeating Betty Turner 2-1 and Roger Pill 2-0 and he now meets Pelynt B's Martin Dunn who beat Deano Dicks and Malcolm Libby.

Well done to both Pelynt teams, both Rowett teams and the 3 Pilchards who played in all three competitions.

Tonight the 14th league winners Noughts and Crosses take on Best of the Rest team at the Noughts game starts 8.30. The BOTR team is Paul Tamblyn, Nigel Davis (Pelynt B), Darren Thomas, Dave Nutty (Rowett B), Dean Haynes (Pelynt A), Lee Bryant (Rowett A).
