Next Tuesday 28th March the Doubles Competition will be played at the White Hart, Menheniot when all league teams should have their complete doubles present at 8.30 pm when the draw for order of play in the first round will be made.
Any team not having their doubles present at this time will not be included in the draw and disqualified from the competition. Sufficient rounds will be played to leave four winning doubles to compete in the semi-finals on Finals Night. Teams are reminded that the player who represented them in the singles cannot compete in the doubles.
The following Tuesday 4th April the Trebles Competition will be played at the Rivercroft Hotel, Looe, also with an 8.30 pm start time.
In the Singles Competition, played at the Rally Club, Mike Cook (B. Legion) had wins against Fred King (S. Lads) and Alan Ruby (Marquee) to qualify for the semi-finals, George Cartwright (River Rats) beat Mark Sibley (Dobsons) and James Baker (Fintans) to reach the last four and the other two qualifiers had byes in the first round and in the second round Mike Collings (Rally) beat Keith Allen (White Hart A) and Geoff Beer (London) had a 2-1 win against Peter Mutton (Highwayman).
