Next Wednesday 5th April the Mixed Doubles Championship will be played at AFC Dobsons when all entrants should be present at 7.45 pm to enable the first round draw to take place and play to start by 8.00 pm.
Any entrants not present at this time will not be included in the draw and excluded from the competition. Sufficient rounds will be played to leave four pairs to compete in the semi-finals on Finals Night. Entrants are reminded that the finals night is on Wednesday 26th April so please do not compete in the competitions unless you can be present on this night as you could beat and deprive someone else who could be present of a semi-final place. The Singles Championship will be played on Wednesday 12th April and the Doubles Championship on Wednesday 19th April both at AFC Dobsons.
In the final league matches of the season Champions Highwayman B were 5-2 winners against their D team, Highwayman A secured third place with a 6-1 win at the Liberal Club and Highwayman C were 4-3 winners at home to Sports Club. Earlier in the season in their first visit to the White Hart at Menheniot Police club were beaten 5-2 by White Hart B and this week when they returned to the White Hart to play the A team. They were beaten 4-3. Also winning 4-3 were London Inn at the Cheesewring, Dobsons were 5-2 winners at home to White Hart B and British Legion were 6-1 winners against the Market.
