A teacher has been brightening up children’s days as well as supporting the NHS by doing daily ’princess’ walks.

Over the weeks of lockdown, Rebecca Drury has often been seen around Liskeard dressed as Belle or Elsa or any one of a range of Disney princesses or superhero characters.

She’s been raising funds for the NHS Charities Together appeal, which currently stands at nearly £40,000.

A recent online auction Rebecca organised brought in more than £400 for the cause.

In addition to her walks, Rebecca has collected donations from local businesses in order to make up a ’Happy Box’ for frontline workers, and members of the public can vite for who should receive the box.

Last week it was the turn of Liskeard Community Fire Station crew, and they’re pictured here with Rebecca at the station.

Next week will be the final happy box delivery – to nominate a recipient look for Princess Daily Walks on Facebook, and to support by giving a donation, items can be placed in the donations basket at Morrisons, while the fundraising page is here: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/stockport-spiderman
