A bike ride has raised £500 for a three-year-old from a Looe family who is battling with leukaemia.
Launceston Tesco staff member David Sampson organised the ride from the store to Bodmin and was joined by other colleagues and a friend after they heard about Lily-Belle Elliott, who was diagnosed in April with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Her grandad Ed Foster is a night worker at the store.
David said: ‘We had a great day on the ride and thanks to everyone who took part to raise some funds to help Ed’s granddaughter. There was a warm welcome at journey’s end from Lily-Belle and the family, and her smiles made it all worthwhile.’
People in Looe, and at Bodmin where the family has moved, have been supportive towards Lily-Belle.
Donations have been made to Lily-Belle’s Holiday Fund through Go FundMe.com to enable her to enjoy a holiday with her mum Lauren Elliott, dad Patrick Dennis, and her sister Sarah and brother Logan, once she has finished her course of treatment.
