A PIECE of Callington's history was returned to the town council recently, when a cup for the Callington Poultry Show was given to portreeve Jeremy Gist. Dated 1926, the cup had been polished and cared for by the cup winner's family since that date, until given to Mr Gist this year. County Councillor Tony Nettle told the town council this week that a show was held on the Lamorna Park fields and used to attract a lot of animals. The cup is now set to go on display within the town hall's trophy cabinet.
