A glorious day meant the crowds were out in force for the annual Lions Fair in the grounds of Antony House on Saturday. The Plymouth Pipe Band led a procession of the mayor, Lions' president, fancy dress winner and Lions' king, queen, prince and princess to the main arena, where mayor Julie Martin welcomed everyone and opened the event. Throughout the afternoon there were displays by sea cadets, a falconer and more than 150 vintage, classic and modern motorcycles. Refreshment stalls and tents were busy all day, as were the numerous charity stalls. Popular children's attractions were the miniature railway, donkey cart rides and Prof Goodvibes, the entertainer.
