At Werrington on August 30, won by Werrington by seven wickets. After winning the League on their own ground on the Saturday, Luckett seconds were to lose only their third game of the season at Werrington when defeated by seven wickets on Bank Holiday Monday.
Luckett's strength all season has been their batting but for once they failed and were all out for 132. Of these Darren Piper having had a wonderful season top scored with 59. Only Chris Gair with 16 was Luckett's only other double figure scorer. For Werrington Nick Banks took 6-37 from 12 overs.
In reply Werrington won quite easily by seven wickets with S Warring scoring 50 n.o. and John Skinner 45 n.o. Dave Colwill took 1-17, and Paul Ingerson 2-33.
