St Erme v Looe

Looe were given a good start with Jonathan and Peter Nance putting together an opening stand of 66 before Peter was run out for 22. Jonathan continued to play a major innings enjoying a good partnership with Adam Nicholas (16) and finally being dismissed for 74, the day's top score as he tried to accelerate the run rate.

Tim Shepley was again in good touch and he and Chris Nance (14 no) added valuable runs towards the end. Vince Hathway was St Erme's main wicket taker with 4-41.

Despite useful contributions from Keith Trethewey (26) and Vince Hathway (19) St Erme were held in check by an excellent opening spell of bowling by Mike Pengelly and Robin Trethowan, just 75 runs coming from 32 overs. D Wilkinson who hit an aggressive 45 n.o., A WIlkinson (17) and M Pearson with 27 no weighed in with later runs but the asking rate was always just out of their reach! Mike Pengelly finished with 4-32 from 16 overs and Adam Nicholas weighed in with 2-48.
