CHILDREN had fun during a craft session at Liskeard Museum, while taking home a serious message on looking after the environment.

A ‘Portraits in Plastics’ workshop saw youngsters creating art out of rubbish collected from local beaches in the company of artist and campaigner Rob Arnold.

Meanwhile, author Ellie Jackson read from her new children’s book, Duffy the Sea Turtle. It tells the true story of a turtle which was injured by plastic waste in the sea and her subsequent rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release back into the ocean.
