An instructor from the headquarters of the RNLI, in Poole, has been giving instructions on basic mechanics for the Trent-class lifeboat to members of the Fowey lifeboat crew.

Those taking part in the course included Mike Cottrell, Bob Harris, Dan Atkinson, James Hoddinott, Alan Langmaid, Paul Gamble, Andy Mitchell, Steven Barker and Marcus Lewis.

The Fowey station is to hold its national lifeboat station open day on June 24th and a family open day on August 23.
