People would be willing to pay 21% more than the national average house price for the quality of life and cleaner air that comes from living in the countryside, independent new research shows.

The survey, conducted by Certas Energy, asked more than 2,000 UK residents their views on relocating to the countryside, with more than three-quarters (78%) saying they would consider moving.

Cornwall was the location to which most (28%) would like to move.
