An inflation-busting 3.99% increase in council tax has been proposed for Cornwall.
This would be broken down into a 1.99% increase in council tax and a 2% precept for adult social care services.
The proposed rise was announced today as part of Cornwall Council’s draft budget proposals for the 2019/20 financial year.
At the same time, a public consultation was launched to ensure the people of Cornwall have their say during the budget setting process.
