Cornwall Council is proposing a 3.99 per cent hike in Council Tax charges - a 1.99 per cent Council Tax increase together with the two per cent Government levy for adult social care.
The proposed changes to council tax would equate to an increase of £0.91 per week or £47.39 per year for a band B property – the most common in Cornwall.
The proposals include plans to make a further £44m in savings over the next four-year period to manage rising costs and increasing demand for services. The Council has already made £380m savings since 2010.
