THE councillor in charge of transport in Cornwall has warned motorists that from Monday they will be targeted by enforcement officers if they flout parking restrictions.

Cornwall Council is responsible for enforcing street parking as well as council-run public car parks and says drivers who park inconsiderately can cause inconvenience and danger to other road users.

Graeme Hicks, the council's Cabinet member for transportation and highways, said: 'Parking restrictions are in place to ensure the free flow of traffic.'
