Cornwall Council have started cutting the roadside verges this week and 12 tractors have been out across the county ensuring that visibility on junctions and bends is not obstructed by vegetation.

Cutting is now carried out at a later date to allow the wild flowers to set seed first, with the result that there are now over 300 sites supporting rare and threatened species.
