MEMBERS from South East Cornwall are among those celebrating a flyball success for a Cornish team.

Kernow Kys Flyball Club is run by captain Stacy Luscombe and has members from Liskeard, St Cleer, Widegates, Looe and Lostwithiel.

In flyball, teams of dogs race against each other over obstacles to a box that releases a tennis ball, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball.

Kernow Kys teams took part in their first competition in Northamptonshire and despite the rain and mud, came away with fantastic results.

The Truro-based Kernow Kys team came first in their division, with the fastest time of the day (19.82 seconds) and the Bodmin-based team came second in their division.

The club is a firm fixture at Liskeard Show every year, with a demonstration in the main ring, and visits other local shows like The Lab Trust annual show at Duloe.
