As on many other occasions that these two sides have met it proved to be a very close encounter, and the result means a replay next weekend.

Millbrook started brightly but it was Saltash who went in front after Mike Southgate was brought down in the penalty area. He duly converted the resultant penalty in the 12th minute past Justin Norman who had been forced to play in goal for Millbrook as Mat Usher had failed to turn up for the game. In the 19th minute Lee Harvey caused the Ashes defence a problem but Charles West saved his second attempt to score. Millbrook's equaliser came in the 37th minute when Wayne Hillson headed home from Ian Stephen's cross.

The Ashes went back in front six minutes into the start of the second half. New signing from Parkway, Dave Waters sent a free kick into the box and Darren Tallon headed home. However the lead didn't last long with Millbrook equalising again five minutes later when Andy Wright left wing cross was sent into the net by Lee Cansfield.

The rest of the second half saw both sides battling hard for the elusive winner but as none came it means a replay tomorriw with a 2.00 pm kick off at Millbrook where there will be extra time played if necessary. If the result is still a draw after this then there would be another replay the following weekend.
