CORNWALL AND DEVON LEAGUE Liskeard-Looe 39 Honiton 11 LISKEARD-Looe ran in six of the best in this Cornwall and Devon game at Lux Park with the East Devon club only crossing once for their first league win of the season. The visitors were ahead 8-5 at the break after attacking bravely for the first half hour and earning a penalty kicked by Mike Bowley and a touchdown by flanker Jason Hannay. Liskeard then woke up and centre James Robbins stormed over from an intercept. Liskeard finally went ahead soon after the restart with wing Dean Birchall scoring a lovely try from a good move. Yet Honiton hung in there and momentarily snatched back the lead in the 47th minute with a penalty from Hannay. Again Liskeard woke up and this time stepped up a gear. No.8 Ali Hill crossed after good forward pressure, fly half Marcus Hill converted and added a penalty, and, with Liskeard on the roll, wing James Sedgeley touched down twice. Robbins converted the first and full back Roy Gaylor rounded off a good win on the end of another fluent move for Hill to convert.
