Saltash played some super football during this game against a strong St Breward side who won at Kimberley for the past three seasons.

Saints had no answer to the speed of Ashes Jason Marks who caused problems in the St Breward defence. Despite dominating play with some fine attacking football Saltash were unable to find the net until the 70th minute when Dave Crocker outjumped the Saints rearguard to head home Lee Wakeham's corner at the far post. Jon Pidgen, Crocker and Ryan Swiggs held firm to stem any St Breward revival as Ashes claimed all three points.
