Launceston bounced back after Wednesday, despite being without six players, which forced a reshuffle and meant the age on the bench was considerable higher than normal.

The game was just 10 minutes old when a good run and cross by Andy Hunt was finished by Mickey Faraday, who was making his last start.

John Menzies and Mark Cole were having good games at centre back and were ably assisted by Dane Bunney and Rob Hallworth.

The pitch was a little bumpy for good passing football, but there was absolutely no faulting the work rate and effort on a very hot day and the home team went two-nil up from an Andy Hunt corner, Andrew Slateford scoring his third goal in two games.

At that moment Mickey Faraday, the man of the match, moved back to centre midfield to shore things up and Chris Slateford replaced Bill Burrows.

Still unbeaten at home, Launceston face a stiff test on Wednesday against league leaders St Dennis.
