It took a goal from Sticker 20 minutes into the game to finally jolt Liskeard into positive action. The Blues were quickly on the offensive but poor finishing let the visitors off the hook. Adam Nickson drove wide and twice Lee Maddock cracked the ball over the bar when a steadier approach was called for.
In the 20th minute a mix-up between defender and goalkeeper left the lively Jeff Johnson were the simplest of task and he put Sticker in front when tapping theball into an empty net.
Within minutes Liskeard were grateful to the silkie skills of Derek Thompson for putting them level. He waltzed around three defenders before firing past Neil Hunkin for the Blues equaliser.
Before the break Adam Nickson found Neil Mullis and taking the ball in his stride easily planted it past the advancing Hunkin.
It was to prove an exceptional afternoon for Mullis as he went on to claim his first ever senior hat trick. It was Mullis who extended Liskeard's lead to 3-1 and maintaining heavy pressure Hunkin pulled off a couple of fine saves before Colin Barrett headed in the Blues fourth.
Both subs Chippy Chapman and Mark Pengelly extended Hunkin before Mullis wrapped up Liskeard's win with an angled drive which rebounded into goal off the far upright.
"It seems we have to go a goal down before we start to play", said Liskeard joint manager Martin Hodge. "But you can't do better than win and over 90 minutes we well deserved the points."
