People will be singing out to raise money for the victims of the Coverack flood disaster on Friday evening (August 4).

A ‘Grand Male Choir Concert’ in aid of the Coverack Flood Disaster Appeal will take place at Saltash Wesley Methodist Church at 7.30pm.

A flash flood on July 18 caused massive damage in Coverack, though access is now back to normal and all businesses are trading again.

Special guests at this evening’s concert include soloist Michael Burke, a concert pianist who comes from Saltash, and baritone William Thomas, from St Ives.

Eighty singers from various choirs across South East Cornwall are taking part in the concert.

Admission is free, but a collection will be taken for the appeal.
