TORPOINT town council is still working towards providing Christmas lights for the town this year. The lights are now stored at HMS Raleigh and councillors are hoping to find someone able to erect them. There was considerable discussion at last week's town council over who should take the lead, with concerns that, if the lights did not go up, councillors would be blamed, whatever the reason. Councillors agreed to continue to work with the town's chamber of commerce and local businesses to ensure the town has lights this year.
