A local community is to raise funds to aid the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire disaster in London.
A coffee morning will be held at the Institute in Kingsand on Saturday, July 29, from 10am to noon.
The minister of the Cawsand Congregational Church, the Rev Jill Murray, said: ‘Our community of Cawsand and Kingsand are wonderful at fund-raising for charities and this event is very much a community-led decision rather than coming from the church.
‘A lot of local people have connections with London, although not necessarily with the Grenfell Tower disaster directly, and are always keen to raise money for other areas as well as for local charities.’
All proceeds from the event will be channelled through the Red Cross.
