The Liskeard Methodist Church Christmas Tree Festival will run until Christmas Eve and it’s open to all from 10am to 12.20pm.
There are almost 30 trees on display, decorated by the town’s organisations, and some are very unusual: there’s a ‘plastic free’ tree from FD Hall and Son, and from Full Blooms florist, a tree featuring real flowers including fresh orchids and anemones.
Staging the Christmas Tree Festival this year are volunteers David and Veronica Rowe, who say that there is disabled access to the event.
Meanwhile a carol service will be held at the Methodist Church on Sunday, December 12, at 6pm led by Rev Andy Day, and will be broadcast and available to listen to on Liskeard Radio.
Kate Rogers will be playing the organ and the Westernairs Concert Band will be playing carols.
