KIND hearted Christmas shoppers are being encouraged to donate gifts to disadvantaged children this festive season. Truro-based charity Helpline are organising collection points in Liskeard at Morrisons supermarket on Plymouth Road and Co-op Pioneer on Barras Street in the run-up to Christmas. This year's appeal started this month and will run until Saturday, December 3. A charity spokesperson said, 'As always, the emphasis is on collecting new, or nearly new toys in order to ensure that only the finest quality goods are handed out through health workers, social care teams and family centres to be unwrapped on Christmas Day.' Anyone willing to help is encouraged to go to their nearest collection point. For further information, contact Helpline on (01872) 276222.
