PARENTS on the school run were angered by a clamped car adding to congestion.
The vehicle was clamped outside Hillfort Primary School in Liskeard because it was untaxed.
Some frustrated mums and dads vented their anger at Bodmin firm West End Motors because the vehicle has stickers identifying it as one of its courtesy cars.
But the vehicle is still registered in the name of a leasing company called RCI, and an administrative blunder in transferring the car to West End Motors cased the problem.
Director Tony Martin said: ‘As soon as we heard about it we taxed the car and paid the fine even though it wasn’t our mistake to minimise any stress caused. We don’t want to cause any problems for local people.’
‘We will be contacting RCI about this.’
