COMIC turns and musical talents from the leaders of Cornwall’s towns will be on the line up at a charity event in Liskeard.
The Variety Evening for the St Petroc’s Society will raise cash to help end street homelessness in the county.
Those attending will be treated to a night of comedy, music and poetry - and the chance to see their mayors and town councillors in a new light.
Among those ‘booked’ for the gig include Liskeard mayor Christina Whitty as well as mayors and councillors from Launceston, Redruth, Penzance and Wadebridge and South East Cornwall MP Sheryll Murray. Last year, MP for North Cornwall Scott Mann joined the Reverend Steve Wild among those on stage (pictured).
This year’s performers will join the audience for a fun half-hour team quiz, and tickets for the event also include a pasty supper.
The Variety Evening for the St Petroc’s Society will take place at the Public Hall in Liskeard on Friday March 16 from 7pm.
