A cabaret concert hosted by the Torpoint Lady Singers marked the start of the choir’s 30th anniversary year.
With musical director Sylvia Fraser, accompanist Sue Westwell and guests the Reflections choir, the event was ‘an evening of camaraderie and audience participation’, said a spokesperson.
At its recent annual general meeting, members of the choir looked back over a busy year which has included many fund-raising performances with other singers from around the South West.
The Torpoint Lady Singers are set to travel to Brittany later this year to join the Benodet-based group for their 40th anniversary celebrations.
Also on the calendar will be a joint concert with the Builth Wells Ladies Choir from Wales on Saturday, April 22, and the annual Singathon in June, which this year will be in aid of the YMCA.
