Looe Limpets celebrated the millennium with a lunch at Tom Sawyers on January 14, a shorter than usual interval after their Christmas lunch in mid-December.

Attendance was hit by the flu bug, which prevented the arrival of, amongst others, the expecetd exotic Limpets from the USA.

The new Chief Limpet, Fred Leese, welcomed the company and referred to recent publicity given to alleged limpit erosion at Beachy Head. Limpet, Barry Haydon expressed the thanks of all to host John Evans and his collegues who had made possible such an enjoyable occasion.
