Two catering students are celebrating after winning medals at the Major Series International Final, an international cooking competition.
Held as part of the annual Hotelympia event at the Excel Centre in London, Professional Cookery students from Cornwall College Saltash, Charlie Walter and Chloe Spear both triumphed, coming away with a bronze medal each.
Former Liskeard Community College student Charlie , 17, who is studying Level 3 Professional Cookery, said: ‘Competing in national competitions such as this whilst studying at College is amazing.’
Chloe , 17, also studying Level 3 Professional Cookery said she was ‘over the moon to come away with a bronze’.
Team Lead Chris Penk said it was ‘amazing to see our young chefs competing on a national level’.
