LISKEARD School and Community College and the Liskerrett Centre have combined to bring a touring dance show to the town today (Thursday, February 25). At 7.30pm the young dance company Joli Vyann, founded in 2012 by Olivia Quayle and Jan Patzke, will be presenting Imbalance, their new production currently touring the South West. The performance in Liskeard will be one of only three to take place in Cornwall on the 16-date tour. Through acrobatics, dance and circus skills, it explores our obsessive dependence on technology and asks audiences to question whether their lives are ‘in’ or ‘out’ of balance. Prior to the show, Swamp Circus and Circo Kernow are inviting those interested in learning some circus skills to join them at ‘Circus Club’ in the Old Hall from 4.30pm-6pm. In addition, students will be providing musical entertainment in the New School Hall from 5.30pm to accompany a pre-show meal. See www.carntocove.co.uk
