CORNWALL Council is to receive almost £11m of Government money to help repair the potholes on its roads, it was announced this week.

The money has been allocated from the £46.7m awarded to the South West, from the Government's £183m of extra funding to help with road repairs following the wettest winter on record.
Cornwall's share of £10,758,008, is the second highest sum among the 15 local authorities receiving help. Somerset gets the most, topping £12m.
In Wednesday's budget, the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, announced a further £168m to tackle potholes on England's roads.
