CARADON'S first XI made the trip to Penzance last weekend to take on Falmouth in the Cornwall County Cup Final.

Falmouth had finished third in in the South Division of the West Clubs' Women's League, so the East Cornwall women went into the contest as underdogs, as well as being forced to field a number of second-string players due to injuries in the Caradon first-team squad.

Caradon were subjected to an onslaught early on, but maintained their challenging tackles and competitive play to hold their opponents at bay.
