An eight week course in which students will be encouraged to develop a positive approach to life drawing and will learn the basic skills of drawing. As your confidence and ability grow you will be encouraged to experiment with a range of media. The fee includes the cost of a model for each class and the number of students will be limited to 12.

A one-day workshop giving beginners guidance in basic figure drawing and observation skills whilst helping more experienced students to improve and develop. The day will comprise both quick sketches and in depth studies of the figure, in various media, including colour, with tuition in body structure, measuring, tone, form, foreshortening and composition. Materials to bring: Charcoal sticks, 2B and 4B pencils, a colour medium (pastels, inks, watercolours, acrylics) with two appropriate brushes (one being a large wash type) at least one sheet of suitable paper (minimum A3 size), large drawing board and an easel, if possible. The fee includes the cost of the model. Further supplies of paper available from the tutor. Please bring a packed lunch.
